If you go to Crewe or Macclesfield I can assure you that there are a handful of non-highstreet opticians who can fit you with KC lenses!
As a number of us have said in previous posts, if you want to progress with getting your vision back and solving few of your issues.....try and locate one of these....or if required, I am more than happy to give you addresses of those that may be suitable

Tammy, if only skirling were all that bagpipes did, we'd all be a lot happier!

J_B I know Macclesfield, but the only connection I have ever had with Crew is what I believe they call Crew Aerobics. the dash with luggage from one platform, up stairs, along a concourse and down stairs to another platform only to board the connecting train in time to be told that it will be delayed!

Well what area are you in or vicinity?..Then we can actually help you......without sounding outright rude, you have made a number of posts with regards to your current lens fitting / KC management issue...and many have made the effort to give there advice which all stemmed around going to a non high street optician...and your comeback has been to go to another high street Opticians.........so you need to help us to help you.
KC is about facing the challenges it creates rather than accepting the problems it generates -

Without sounding dam right rude back, i have taken all adivce that has been offered to me. The same as i said there is no such thing as a non highstreet optician in the town i live in.
This Post was merely to discuss the situation of Hospitals, i wasnt looking for anything other. So i dont see were you are leading witht he optician subject, i mentioned Macclesfield and Crewe because i thought the question of what Hospital do i attend was being asked. After all this post is about problems in HOSPIALS!

I guess the hospital issue is one that is going to hit a great many people, sooner or later, but that does not always have to be a disaster.
Years ago Glasgow had a dedicated "Eye Infirmary". some people thought that the end of that era and the absorbtion of ophthalmological services within a general hospital would mean a reduction in services. In fact the opposite has been the case.
On an oblique note, I wonder what we call 'hospitals' in different areas.? The old fashioned word 'Infirmary" at least acknowledges that the people who are cared for are in some way, Infirm, whereas the word hospital suggests that the big building where they lookafter sick people is intended as a place of hospitality (from hospes meaning host).
'Sanitorium' clearly implied that it is a place of healing (from sanare or place of healing).
I really think that the name we give to the place where they look after sick people affects our attitude to them and the work they do.
