So you dont think geting the unit is worth it?

I was looking at

http://speed-buster.co.uk/
http://www.mrhoot.com/defaultgoogleads.asp

think ill look into the mapping as you say..the thing is is that these things are removeable in like 10 mins and easy to plug in....

Jayuk,

I am a beleiver if a job is worth doing, do it properly. I know people who have had experience of superships on Ford Cosworths and the Focus RS which have had good results and these can be removed in 10 minutes.

Full chip replacement if you know what you are doing can be just as quick as in both cases you need to reach the ECU. If you keep the old chip, you can just swap them round again.

I think the Bluefinn from Superchips is a plug in job that can also be live mapped too.

Regards

Claire

30 is an important birthday, and I hope you have a really wonderful time in the United States. Where abouts are you going.

I love Chicago, St Louis, Boston ...

Okay, I admit it, I just love the United States! My brother is skiing just now in New England and will be travelling down to New York for the Tartan Day Celebration later in March.

But, I'm not jealous. No I'm not, no, really, I'm not ...

sigh!

Andrew

The Capri has a rear view mirror, but is devoid or door or wing mirrors.

I find faith in a greater being watching over me and telepethy helps :D

I really used to like the look of the Ford Capri. Was that the one advertized as "the car you always promised yourself"?

What alterations did you make to render it "track ready"? Can you still drive it on the road?

My Capri is a homologation special, which meant for Ford to make certain changes for their cars to legally compete in the European Touring Car championship, Ford had to show they ahd the intention of making 2500 cars per year with the parts that would go on the race cars.

In the end Ford only made 250 Ford Capri RS3100's in Novemebr 1973 mainly due to the oil crisis and the car having a 3093cc V6 engine!

Basically my car is a road going race car minus the roll cage. The sort of classic racing I do now, a road car is OK as long as it is at least standard specification of the road going racer.
