I saw a wonderful cartoon once in a newspaper.
Scene: a very busy pub or maybe nightclub, with CHristmas party i full swing. Sings saying "Merry Christmas", people dancing about in reindeer antlers and Father Christmas hats, etc, and hardly room to move.
to the side of this room is the bar, and there's acustomer leaning over the bar with his hands cupped round his mouth to assist sound transmission, yelling to the barman over the din.
Caption: "I SAID, 'EXCUSE ME, BUT HAS ANYONE HANDED IN A CONTACT LENS?' "
I've thought before now it woul be a great one to get to use in MC group publicity material, etc.

Good one Rosemary! But Jay is still ahead, his story being his own!
Actually Rosemary's story would have been good if it had been a KC support group Christmas party, and the bar man had taken out a tray and said "take your pick!"
but then, maybe that would stretch credulity, even for a newspaper cartoon
