Anne,

Don't worry that the lens turned up in the wrong half of the case. I was told that they never bother with left and right unless they are dispensing a pair of lenses. They expect the patient to know which eye to put it in!

Still, I checked when it happend to me, and was told the above!

Anne,

On a lighter note, as you now have six kids, do you have two hubbies?

Could that cause problems if you say one is good looking and ignore the real one? :?

Hehe here's hoping you get two valentines pressies though!!!!!!!

Just wanted to add that if after all of the practice and increased wear time with the lens you are still having problems i would head to Moorfields 'A & E' to be seen. I didn't say this so if asked you DIDN'T hear it from me LOL but if you go early enough in the morning to see them with a contact lens problem that doctors in 'A & E' can't fix they will hopefully send you around to the contact lens clinic so that they can check it out. :)

This would make more sense to you as they could order you a new lens if needed which would help you more for your next appointment! I'm not saying that they will have time to fit you in but twice i have turned up with an obvious lens problem and distressed as my contact lens appointment was so far away and they very nicely slotted me in between appointments in the contact lens clinic. 8)

Hope you get some success soon! Good luck!

I can cope with six children but two hubbies, that would be a nightmare.

Hi

Thanks for the advice about moofields A and E. The problem is i live in Hertfordshire so its a good hour travel time. I would have to get someone to go with me and someone to look after the kids so not very easy. I am going to wait for my appointment on 21st. not tried the lens today will try it tonight when kids have gone to bed.

Painting my daughters bedroom pink today!

Anne

I know how hard it can be when you are struggling with a lens that leaves you with discomfort or even pain in your eye. In the end, if it continues to be too bad, and since you have an appointment in just over a week, I'd leave it out altogether until I had seen the consultant.

All the best.
