 Well, in my defence, M'lud (or is that MiLady? :D) I was instilling a single drop from the bottle into my eye.

I didn't spill any  !

Pred Forte is an eye drop that contains Prednisolone (a steriod given to people with cornea grafts to prevent rejection).

Sorry!

There you see, I even thought it was pills:)

Predinsilone as pills is given post op to prevent rejection here. The same in UK? I remenber the gave pills to me to heal the rejection as well.

Can't remember whether they gave me pills after my op.

All I do remember is swearing a lot about being knocked out from the anaesthetic.

I have heard of people having oral prednisolone, but most of the time we seem to have it as eye drops in the UK

Not sure about Remiolone, but it certainly performs a similar function to Maxidex (Dexamethasone) and FML (Flurometholone) with Pred Forte being the strongest and FML being the weakest.

I stay on FML drops daily almost throughout my 4 years post-graft, but have taken Maxidex and Pred in times of crisis!

Post graft I had dexamethazone drops eight times a day, until about eight months, and since then the white Pred forte, but just once a day.

I was never given systemic steroids (pills) so the only steroids in my system are those that seep into my blood from my eye.

I don't know if this disqualifies me from the olympics, but my brother keeps reminding me that no nation has yet added an overweight bald old guy category to the olympics so steroids in my system are not really going to be a problem.

Fe fi
