It is not common for sight to change that quick, but it can happen.

When I was first diagnosed I was down the optom every 4 weeks for a new lens fitting. It was a case of maintaining enough site to help get through my A levels in 1989.

Diagnoses to needing a graft was about 12 months.

This situation is rare and I am sure if you had an appointment and there was a significant change in vision the test fee would be waved.

The past six months I have been down the hospital atlease once a month because my vision unaided had not changed, but was getting worse on a weekly bases with a lens. Now got this sorted and I do not hae to go back for three months. However if I experience a vision change I am to get intouch with the hospital again.

Indeed, very uncommon but at the moment, my vision is changing by the hour!

The pair of glasses which do me well at 10am, are less comfortable by 5pm and almost useless by midnight. Thankfully, the shape changes back whilst I'm asleep 8).

I've not yet come across anyone else who changes so quickly, but it does go to show that the cornea is capable of changing shape very rapidly indeed!

sudden changes

KC can take sudden 'spurts' which mean your vision can reduce quite quickly. But if that's happening to you, the last thing you should be doing is trying to get lenses online. Is your KC being monitored by a hospital? If not, get your GP to refer you to a good hospital eye dept so that you can get a professional assessment and hopefully some lenses which will help your vision.
