Jayboi

Basically, when you get to Euston Station you will need to get to the underground (London Underground)

1) Take the Northern Line (this is the BLACK line on the Underground Map - destined to Morden)

2) Get off at OLD STREET..this total trip will take between 6 and 10 mintues from Euston.

From Old Street Moorefields Eye Hospital is well sign posted...and will take literally 10 minutes to walk to

Other references for you

Map to get to Moorefields Eye Hostpital

Hope that helps

It's actually quite easy to find Moorfields from Old Street Station. As soon as you leave the ticket hall, the passageway splits into three. You want the straight-on route, and you'll notice a green line in the tiles on the floor.

The green line is the route to Moorfields!

Follow it up the steps and across a couple of minor roads. It will lead past the "main" entrance to the A&E entrance, but the main entrance is generally better to go into for our Meeting. Just tell the porter that you're there for the Keratoconus Group meeting in the boardroom, and he'll point the way.

As to duration, the AGM, guest speaker and chats over refreshments generally last about a couple of hours, maybe more.

I'm aiding and abetting in the commission of matrimony by a couple on the day of the meeting. Can't make it, but will store the info about finding Moorfields from Old Street ... you never know!

Just a few comments to add to the above:
If you think you may want to do some more in London while you're down here - go shopping, waatch a football match (!!), see some sights, etc - it is probably worth getting a London A-Z.
I'm sure you can get these in bookshops in Manchester, or at Piccadilly station before you set off.

Ask at the station where you set off whether you can get a ticket to London with a central zone 1-day travelcard included in the same ticket. This will let you swan around London for the day on the tube/bus all on the same ticket.

When you get to Euston and get off the train, you'll come to a large open councourse area with a marble-y tiled floor. The entrance to the underground is at the far side of this concourse from the platforms - look for a set of escalators going down into the ground and the underground sign - a big red ring with a blue bar across. When you get through the ticket barrier, you need to follow signs for NOrthern Line SOuthbound CITY BRANCH (don't get the Charing Cross Branch, it goes the wrong way). If you get stuck, the underground staff are (reportedly) all trained in helping disabled travellers get about, so tell them you have an eye condition and need help.
The trains now have computer voices that read out the names of the stations.

Hope to see you at the meeting. I expect there may be one or two (!) folks interested in going for a drink/pub lunch/similar afterwards.
