New to this

I have KC in both eyes and had a detached retina which left me with a cataract after the operation.
Question how bad is my KC likely to get I have had it about 18 months and is there anything I can do to make it less problematic.
Many of you seem to be much worse than me since I have no pain and just find it a nuisance.

To answer your question, there is nothing you can do currently that will halt the progression. Its just so unpredictable that you may find nothing changes for months/years; on the other side, you may find things getting worse by the week..............thats the nature of this beast

Hi Andy and welcome to the forum.

You're right that you are better of than some of the posters on the forum, but please remember that most people with no problems don't actually post on the forum.

Most of us just cope with our KC using contacts or glasses; a few of us have had grafts. Very few of us are in actual pain, although some people find wearing contact lenses can be painful.

Jayuk is right- there is nothing we know you can do to slow down or reverse your KC progression. The best advice I can give is to seek out the best advice (!) and to live your life accordingly!

You ask if there is anything you can do to make it less problematic. Well... telling us what the problems ARE for you might help hehe!!

Seriously though... your cataract might complicate the way you see so a few more details would certainly help here!
