I wear full-sized sclerals and had first graft in January. (Bit of a disaster, but that's a long story.....)
I had a scleral in the eye over the graft for the first time 3 months to the day post graft - it happened to be the next routine check-up appointment pre=booked long since with contact lens fitter.
He specified a new lens, and I eventually (!!!) psyched myself up to pay for the thing, and collected it about 6-7 weeks later.
It's now 5 nd a half months post graft, so I must have had the lens about a month.
The vision has gone from reading at about 5" to being very long-sighted -= the horizon looks fascinatingly sharp, and I had to nip out to the supermarket for a pair of reading glasses as my arms were far too short to read. I think my eyes are changing shape again as my arms seem to be shrinking again.....!
The tolerance is ... well, significantly less than with full-size sclerals either inthe other eye or the scleral/soft lens piggybacking combo I was wearing in pre-graft in the eye that was grafted. I recon about 7 hours max - the grafted eye doesn't exactly hurt if I keep it in that long, but the vision is deteroirating by then, and the eye feels pretty "uncomfortable" for the next couple of days. So I'm reckoning about half a day wear every third day.
Rob CM on these forums got his first post-graft scleral a month post-op and can wear it all day - wow! There's a thread about this called "early lenses post graft" or something similar.
DOn't know about mini-sclerals - the bigger the better for me. Errrrrm, maybe I should be careful that isn't misinterpreted!!
