It's just a bad day Sweet.....I thought I was going to have one today what with my lens drama and all.
Posted my troubles on here, and was immediately cheered by the witty remarks and support.
Well I'm still here at my bloody desk, it's almost 7.40pm, and I can go home in 20 minutes.
The glasses have done their job well...not as good as lenses, but the upside has to be giving my eyes a day off from the lens.
Anyway the moral has to be Sweet, take a deep breath, it can't be as bad as all that, read Jay's words carefully, he's right you know it will all come right eventually.
God just think how you'd feel if we'd lost the rugby!!!!!

WOW !
I dont believe it, I wont. You're like a feature of the KC Forum!
I have to say as well, no matter what, paying or not, NHS regardless, graft success does vary heaps, everyone's case is different, when we all sign on that dotted line for the operation we know the potential outcomes - in the smallprint it does say somewhere DALK although successful can take 18mths or longer for good vision. As you know a corneal graft is usually a last resort and often by that point other issues need to be taken into account but with it being a last resort, that doesn't mean end of the line
We all have shitty days Sweet, and we're all allowed a good vent! It would be a terrible shame if you threw the towel in now after everything you achieved.
I'm not sure what else to say, goodluck and best wishes eh! Come back soon!

Sweet, I hardly need to add to the chorus of voices telling you that you CAN'T leave the forum! But please don't despair of your graft so early on. I had no benefit from my first graft until I was finally given a lens to wear on it 2 yrs after the op (in the meantime the other eye was deteriorating rapidly). But the lens enabled me to see all my cobwebs for the first time, and now I get good vision with either contact lenses or glasses. It can take a long time before a graft will give usable vision - not everyone will have Knight's results so early on. But you WILL get there eventually, however frustrating the setbacks are. We're all thinking of you and wishing you an UP very soon.

Thank you to everyone here who posted a reply and sent me loads of emails, pms and text messages. It really does mean a lot though i'm not always in a good place to hear it. I'm not very good at taking any support but thanks to everyone here who sent it.
I haven't left this forum just needed some time to get away and think. Went to my follow up today which wasn't so bad. I did have two lines with pinholes before most of the stitches got removed and i lost them, now i make three lines with pinholes. So while i gained a month of stress i also gained another line, which makes better news i think.
Eye pressure was fine and staining on my other eye is better so i don't need to go back for another three months unless i have any problems. Need to continue with FML drops four times a day and be careful with the rest of my stitches.
So ... i am around just maybe not posting as much as i normally do but if you need me i'm on yahoo mail. Just needing some time out here as while i can stop stressing about my eye for a minute i have a lot of other things that i need to work out.
I will be at the AGM though so if i don't post before then i will see you there!
