KC - 1, Pru Health - 0 .... Longhoc is brilliant

Postby dalbeath » Wed 31 Oct 2012 2:14 pm

Just a quick note to say thank you to the KC group and to Longhoc in particular.

I had CXL done in June 2010 and Pru Health (my insurer) refused to pay. Longhoc helped me take the case to the financial ombudsman and we found out today, after 16 months that we have won and Pru are going to pay !

Obviously this is great for me but also a big step forward for CXL - anyone else insured with Pru can now claim that they have set the precedent by paying for mine so should pay for future claims.

Thanks again to Chris !

Excellent result!! Congratulations!!

My case against BUPA is also being decided by the Ombudsman - so fingers crossed they rule in my favour!!

Thanks ! Very kind of you to say, but in my view it's the people who are prepared to dig in for the long haul when they know right is on their side despite seemingly being a lone voice that are really the brilliant ones. So for anyone who sometimes feels like Keratoconus is putting them through the mill, think of dalbeath and gr1ffiths (and numerous others too in their different ways) and don't let the you-know-what's get you down.

Cheers

Chris
