Sponsered Cycle Event raise money for Keratoconus Research

Postby DavidF » Sat 22 Oct 2005 6:40 pm

Hello Everyone,
I am organizing a sponsered cycle event to raise money for Keratoconus Research.

Is anyone interested?

The event will take place in Cambridge.

The sponsered event is to cycle from Cambridge to Newmarket. It is about 15miles.

I still trying to sort out a date for it? Has anyone got any suggests on dates? I do want to do it soon tho maybe in a month's time.

Please try and make the effort to come and do the event if you not from the Cambridgeshire area.

David.

thanks James.I might change the location to London as I haven't hear from people who are interested in doing the cycle event.

It doesn't just have to be a cycle event it can also be a sponsered wak event if you interested but I understand if your sight is too bad.

David.

I would be keen to take part in a walk, if it was around the Cambridgeshire area. Jacqueline.

If anyones got a tandem and needs a second bum I can provide the bum.

Can't see where I am going so I am sure you'll all thank me for restraining the excitment and not offering to ride my bike (its dusty and in the shed but I am not selling it - just in case).

Walking round London would be easier for those of us that have guide dogs....

hello Jacqueline thanks for your reply.

That sounds great if you interested in doing a sponsered walk do you not want to do a sponsered cycle event?

I did perfer to do a sponsered cycle event but can do the sponsered walk insteaded.

Where about were you thinking of doing the walk in Cambridgeshire?

What area are you from? I was thinking of doing the walk/sponsered cycle from Cambridge to Newmarket.

Hi David.. I just would prefer to walk, as I know I can do it. Cycling is not really my thing. But can't both be done, of course it's your idea and up to you? I live in Oundle, so Cambridge and Newmarket are all not far away. At the moment I have trouble judging distance so to walk on a flatish surface would be ideal. I fall over if not!!! Well I trip.. My husband would walk with me to help me. So up to you. Jacqueline..
