can anyone reccomend an eye shield for racket sports ?
I like to play badminton when I can .I have taken a 3 month break due to cornea transplant, but would now like to get back in to it .I spoke to my surgeon and he has told me to make sure I wear eye protection when I play .Can anyone recommend some kind of eye shield for racket sports .many thanks in advance

I'd pop into a local pharmacy and ask if they can recommend anything. Most eye shields I have seen would be pretty useless because they have 'breathing holes' right in the field of vision.

Surely something like a pair of spectacles would suffice?
If you don't wear specs they make a range of clear sunglasses that are apparantly used when going clubbing! - Again they will stop a shuttle but doubt would be any good on anythig heavier.

would you not be able to get some decent sports glasses? Like Edgar Davids used to when playing football, because he has glaucoma
Though, i'd assume his were very expensive- there must be somewhere doing similar things cheaper?

Let me know how you get on Rob.
I recently took up squash again, and wanted a pair of protective goggles, mainly to catch my lens in case it popped out during a game....hopefully saving me 10 minutes looking for it on the court floor!
I picked up a pair of 'Wilson Omni - Eyewear Protection' for a tenner - I tried wearing them a couple of times, but gave up - they kept steaming up, even though they had air holes at the side. I think it's a problem with a lot of goggles.
My friend recommended a different pair to me that he wears (can't remember name off hand), although these ones don't sit tight to your cheek, hence not really solving the problem I wanted them for.
