Hi,
My left eye (the worse eye) feels like someone poked it with a pin! It hurts so much, and the eye only half-opens. I have already visited A & E, and the doctor told me that there appears to be no damage. Even when he numbed my eye, the pain didn't go away. All I was given was celluvisc 0.5%, which isn't helping unfortunately. I haven't been able to attend school for a week because of how badly it hurts, and I haven't put my scleral lens in this eye whilst it hurts. Has anyone else experienced this? can anyone help me please?!!!

There is no doubt that you did the right thing going to your hospital A&E. I wonder whether you have also been to see your optometrist? it may be that there is an issue with the 'fit' of your lens.
I am vexed to hear that the pain did not subside when the A&E doctor numbed your eye. In your place, along with arranging to see my optometrist I'd also be pushing for an early appointment with my own ophthalmologist.
Every good wish

If you can't get an early appt with your usual specialists, you could try going back to A&E given that things don't seem to have improved after a week.

go back to A&E or your specialist and keep going back until the pain goes away.... Pain is a sign that something is wrong
