Hi there everyone,
My KC was diagnosed a year and a half ago, with my right eye significantly more advanced. This June I had it crosslinked and my 6 month examination shows that the condition is now stable and vision has improved SIGNIFICANTLY, to my surprise. My left eye is far less advanced. The thing is, my doctor says there is KC in the left as well, but it is much more stable, and has only moved slightly in the last year. Also, I'm starting my career in one month from today, and now is the only significant free period of time that I will have in the next years to come. Do you believe I should go for crosslinking now - that the cornea has not moved much lately, or wait to see if it advances further? I know it's a personal choice but I'm really divided.
Any advice is welcome.
Thx
Martin

the problem with KC is we dont know whether or not the KC will progress in future or not.
Personally i would say that (and am waiting to see if there is any change in my right "good" eye) that i would be in favour of CXL in my good eye if there is even the slightest of change. i have got reasonably good vision in my right eye with glasses and would love to keep that - i dont get on with CL so if there is the slightest sign of progressive KC and i can afford to i would be having CXL done.
That is my personal view, what does your consultant recommend? I would also follow the advice of my consultant in making my decision
