Lynn

I was thinking today that seeing as though you have alot of experience and know what you are talking about with Lenses for KC sufferers, is it possibly worth while you writing something for the opticians that details lensesavailable for KC Patients?....
Right nand have spent alot of money in the past year when trying the Rose K2, Intra Limbals, etc....and yet many are not aware of such lenses and rely on the opticians. Whilst I appreciate majority do not know of the lens existence due to minimal exposure to KC patients, it may prove extremely useful for people here who can than take this information to there local Opticians or even better YOU!

Just a thought.......as I guess you would be one of few qualified here to do it........if not its ok Ill just go back in my box lol

Jayuk...

Yes .. I have been thinking of doing that anyway on my website.... in fact it was what I intended originally for my website but got so darned tied up with other things!

What has delayed me a bit is trying to work out the best format because you do really need to know the pros and cons of each type of lens, so I need to do a bit of research....

Okay... what I will do is start putting things together on my website and post links here as it progresses... you and others can then go look at it and tell me if you find it understandable or what other things you want to know about the lenses. I'll probably have to link to other sites a bit for the diagrams etc...

Once I have that, I may be able to condense into a leaflet to download as well...

How does that sound???

Jayuk??? COOOOEEEEE!!

Hmmm.. maybe he's still in his box!!

Yeh I think that sounds a good idea...I think also for the people further away it can give them an option to show there CL fitter the options from your website.......as in all honesty I find its up to us the patient in researching new lenses and then going to the opticians..

okay....

Put up the basic pages with a few links on ..

http://www.eioi.org/contactlenses.html

Beginning to get sleepy eyes now hehe... not sorted the hybrid or scleral links yet and only thrown up a few links there... but you will get the general idea..

I now need feedback as to what you want on there ...

when I have got the links and a more or less definitive list I will research articles on them all and try and give my opinions... however, from the consumer point of view - your comments will be most valuable...

So any comments about any lenses you have worn and what you would find good to be included here will be most appreciated!

Lynn

Hi Lynn,
Great start... The Hybrids link seems to be a little funny..
Click on it once and it;s the right section.. click on it again.. takes you to Sclerals?!?!
There;s a ghost hiding in there somewhere!
Pictures.. i want pictures! nothin explains more than a picture(For me)..
