Quick one this!
Whilst at Sunderland Eye Infirmary last week I was called by a unfamliar voice..not nasty names just my own ;o)
Anyway..he said that he was Mr Morgans registrar..I think and that he would see me?
I wanted to ask but did'nt dare at the time...what the hell did that mean? Who decides that I saw him and not his 'boss'!!
You know what us and our eyes are like....don't like change and I had to explain the whole sorrid KC tale again!

This is quite normal in hospitals. Registrars are doctors who spend on average six months at a time in different specialties attached to different consultants.
The decision who they see is usually made by the consultant and usually those patients who are stable are given to the registrar to see. In fact this is often good news because it usually means you are going OK.
However, it is very irritating to the patient who has to keep explaining everything every time. But this is what happens in the NHS!!
