Thankyou!

Postby Jo » Sat 24 Feb 2007 5:06 am

I just wanted to thank everyone who has ever posted their words of advice, experiences, etc, regarding kerataconus. I am 22 years old and was diagnosed with kerataconus about 4-5 years ago. I wear a contact in my right eye, and had a corneal graft in my left eye about 6 months ago. Still not wearing a lens in my left eye after the graft as the stitches are obviously still in.
So anyway, i just wanted to thank all the members, moderators etc of this forum as it has helped me through so much regarding kerataconus. I dont know anyone else who has it, and i often wonder whether what i am feeling is normal. So its great to read about other peoples experiences, and see that i am not alone here. I read a topic where everyone was talking about loosing their contacts, that made me feel so much better, as i have lost countless contacts and at least in know im not just a klutz, its normal!
Thanks for everything guys!! xoxo

The real thanks are due to John and Gareth. They are the main dudes here, and thanks to them that the forum is able to exist at all.

I was taken by the string about breaking lenses. Done that, felt an idiot and then found out that others do it too! :D

All the best

Andrew

Good to see its been of value! Id have to agree with Andrew here...without John and Gareth, this place wouldnt be half as well maintaned and good....and without Sweet we probably wouldnt have had some of the overhaul and new ideas put in action...and then theres the Committee.....all makes for an excellent resource!
