MEN!!!!!!!

I went out last night to see the sound of music (it was very good )
Left hubby with the kids, asked him to cook dinner for them Burgers with new pots and veg, asked him to do the two pieces of homewok the girls had, and to keep house tidy!!
What my hubby actually did was cooked the kids burgers CHIPS and SPAGHETTI let them eat it in the living room!! gave them a packet of SMARTIES EACH for desert!!!
Only got the girls to do one piece of homework each, and my eldest tested herself on her spellings
And the house looked like a bomb site.
Just spoke to him on the phone and he just laughed at me (brave man)

Sounds like an evening after I've left my wife too look after our daughter!

I could tell she was sick yesterday because she started to muck out my daughters toy corner instead of leaving it to me.

Gareth, i need to speak to your wife so i can get some tips.

On a serious note do you think having KC makes mess around the house seem worse than it is. I am thinking from the multiple image side of it.
My hubby just doesn't notice it but it really stresses me out.
I like everything to be in the right place and i cannot relax with mess around me, what do you all think?

I am not the most tidy person in the world but if I have been away for a few days, I used to go to Guide camps, the house was like a bombsite when I got home, hubby and boys would resort to student status. I wouldn't mind but I get moaned at normally if stuff is left lying around

I'm not a particularly tidy person I'm afraid, but what I simply cannot understand is why when something is on the floor and shouldn't be, instead of picking it up, my husband will either trip over or tread on it, and leave it there. Then when he does the same thing again, 10 minutes later , I get " who left that there? " - I have learned to respond with "you did!". That shuts him up!

But getting back to the serious bit, I am finding it more important to make sure things are in the right place - because if they aren't, I struggle to find things because I can't see properly. And hubby NEVER knows whre anything is - except the TV remote.....!

Glad you enjoyed Sound of Music - but not sure I find anything wrong with Smarties for pudding...........!! (Sorry - they are my absolute failing along with flying saucers..........- I've never grown up see!)

I don't see multiple images, the KC is soo bad it is just one mass blur of colours.

It is more the scream from mother and daughter telling me not to step certain places or the whimper from a dog that can not move from where they fell asleep because of the mess around them.

I am far from house proud, after all it has taken me 11 years to decorate the haal, stairs and landing. Lounge, Kitchen, bathrooms and bedrooms are still waiting!

All I want is to be able to move around without falling over children, pets or toys

I must agree though..I also walk over things on the floor if there there...but I dont do it cuz Im lazy to pick it up....I do it incase it needs to be there lol....

My new toy arrived to day, it is the latest Vax Zero Force vacuum cleaner using cyclonic technology. It is in electric metalic blue, some lights and loads of buttons!

Far better than my 11 year old dyson and the attachments are better too. Used the duster atachment to vacuum the ceailing. Never knew there was so many cobwebs and crud up there!

Much better suited to clean up after my dogs too.

Was uncomfortable to use, but that is probably because I dslocated my shoulder this morning which menat taking my lenses out a touch uncomfortable

Wife has just come back from shopping and complained the new fridge is too small despite it being 25% bigger than the last one. Yet again she has got more shopping than we need because it was on offer.

Will go and persuade her it is a flase economy if we have to chucj the stuff because the three of us can not eat it all before it goes mouldy
