KC is about facing the challenges it creates rather than accepting the problems it generates -

I have a midnight service, and then off to my sister's house first thing on Christmas Morning. My side of the family all meets up there to exchange presents, etc. Then we go our several ways for the rest of Christmas Day.
On December 27 (third day of Christmas) my wife;s side of the family meets ut (our house this year) for the same purpose.
I already have my present: a graft on late October that seems to be working very well indeed. Our daughter is coming to us for Christmas lunch while our son is going to the family home of his girlfriend.
BTW the story is told of the year when the New York Times contacted various UN Ambassadors to ask what they wanted for Christmas.
The Ambassador of the old Soviet Union said he wanted world peace.
The Ambassador of the People's Republic of China said he wanted an end to the Vietnam War.
The Ambassador of France said he wanted all nations to live together in harmony with justice for all.
The Ambassador of the United States said he wanted Democracy to become extablished in all parts of the world.
The Ambassador of the United Kingdom did not fully understand what lay behind the question. "I'd like a case of Krug and a box of Havana Cigars, please".
I hope it is a blessed and happy season for all.

My mum and stepdad have abandoned me and my sister again this year, they away on holiday to egypt. My mum was gettin sick of stepdads family coming over year and expecting her to do everything, so fair play to them. I know Christmas is about giving and not recieving, but ooooh arent we glad they dont come over anymore, the presents they dished out....i got an expandable briefcase one year when i was still at uni (imagine i marched in to tesco with that lol)
Anyway me and my sis are having our own little dinner, and then im heading over to see my second family (my best friend since primary school, awww) and have a little party there.
And ats it, hope everyone has nice day

Well, I too have been abandoned by my "family" this year, as my stepmother decided to go away.
Luckily though, I've been spared from spending Christmas Day by myself as I've been invited to my best-friend-from-school's mum's house. The aforementioned best friend will be there with his family (I'm godfather to all three of his children) so I know I'll have a great time. Probably better than originally planned!

We're off to Devon for Christmas (in about 15 mins time!) - first time we've ever gone away from home for Christmas! We are staying in a hotel with a craft/sports/golf centre on the edge of Dartmoor, and our son and his girlfriend are joining us, along with some "old" - as in longstanding - friends of ours and their daughter. It's been wonderful not having to worry about food shopping etc for Christmas this year as I find shopping really challenging at the moment! And someone else will be cooking my dinner!
What do I want for Christmas ? Well, I haven't seen my son since well before my KC diagnosis and so the best present of all will be a really big hug from him! We've bought him a washing machine - so a fair swap I reckon!!
Have a lovely time everyone!

Hoem with the familly, daughter will open her presents from Santa before we go to Church then we will swap presents after Christmas dinner.
I always ask for money because I know how specialised the gifts I want are so it is easier to give me the money and sort myself out!
Wife did get a bumper for the Capri, but the nice Parcel Force guy damaged it so as soon as the chromers is open I need a quote for straightening the bumper and re-chroming it. My initial enquieries suggest the repair is three times the value of the part! Dear wife is not happy at all a surprise she got for me needs work on it.

I relate to you John, my parents are holidaying in Australia, my sister (in Navy) docks on 29th Dec, My kids live with their Mum (dont see them 'til 6th Jan) and my step kids are spending Christmas with their Dad (get back on 6th Jan)
So I am feeling a bit neglected this year! My missus has decided we are having beef for Christmas dinner this year, so everything is different!!
On the plus side, i've just opened my present from her, a laptop, Yay!!
Merry Christmas all!
