Benefits and KC

Postby Madwoman1 » Sat 21 Oct 2017 8:40 pm

Hi my 19 year old daughter has KC. She has had it for nearly a year now, her KC has progressed very quickly and she on the list for a graft.
I'm just wondering if there are any government benefits she can claim.

There aren't any specific benefits associated with keratoconus.

However there are benefits for people who are registered as blind or partially sighted. There are a few people with KC whose vision cannot be corrected either by treatment and/or with contact lenses and have registered.

A leaflet written by Moorfield's Eye Hospital explains the benefits of registration: ... ighted.pdf
