Update on glute - I've got a dodgy piriformis and have physio exercises to do which won't bother the eye. Should be resuming training soon so London marathon is still on the agenda, though almost certainly walking. If any of you live in the area I would be grateful if you could come and throw mars bars at me on the day as I will be en route for some time!! Tubs

Dodgy piriformis? Isn't that excruciatingly painful?

All the best with your physio, and the marathon. Sadly I'll not be in mars bar throwing range of the London marathon, but you have my support.

Naybe some of the others who are able to throw chocolate bars might offer a variety ... CDM at mile three, Mars at mile 6 ... Frys Chocolate Cream at mile 9 ... :D

Seriously, all the best. can we sponsor you?

I am sure Andrew will have a deepd fried Mars for you and Sweet will throw one in your direction :D

If you really want people to throw chocolate at you, perhaps some form of protection will be in order incase you get one in the eye so to speak.

Got sent a video clip of one in the eye, but it is extremely rude

Lisa, hey there!
:D
Am glad that you are still going to be able to take part in the marathon and walking isn't so bad! A good friend of mine and her boyfriend have just signed up as well and being sponsered by Scope so if i'm not working i may well be around to offer them some support as they have never done a run before!! LOL!!! Should be interesting hehe but as she is a nurse and he is a doctor and both in 'A & E' i have faith!!

Let me know any details and i'll post what i'm doing, if i'm around i'd love to meet up and throw you some needed choccie supplies!! As a massive creme egg fan though i'd watch out as they can travel quite far i should imagine!!You know the world gets smaller day by day and i meet more people from here!

There is a chippy not far from where I live that sells deep fried mars bars, but I have never felt the inclination to try one.

I was once waiting for a some fish to finish frying and somebody in who was behind me ordered deep fried mars bars and curry sauce.

I guess the energy from that hit alone would carry you round the marathon course.
