There was no Boclair Academy in my day! But when I worked at Strathclyde University we used to have a number of students who came from Boclair. I remember one particular family of brothers who were all extremely talented young engineers.
Before the contact lens clinic relocated to Gartnavel, I saw Angela Carson at the old eye infirmary.
At Gartnavel, she was one of the optometrists who worked so hard to fit me with a Scleral Lens, for which I'll always be grateful. I rather felt I was letting Angela and Bernie down when I couldn't wear my scleral.
Doc Ramaesh is also my ophthalmologist! I could not be more happy with his patience and generosity of spirit. I am afraid that I may seem sometimes a bit difficult as I bombard him with questions, but he just goes on dealing with my queries and giving me back control over the management of my condition. I reckon we are tremendously well served by the department at Gartnavel, and the contact lens clinic.
I see Doc Ramaesh again at the end of this month. We are talking about a graft into my second eye. I'm afraid that I can't wear lenses any more which meant saying goodbye to old friends at the clinic. Please pass on my very best wishes to Angie next time you see her, and if you remember ask her to pass on my greetings to Bernie as well.
Yours aye
