Andrew,

You are a gentleman who's mind can not stoop so low as to reach sewr level like Sweet and Jay :D

Weekend was fine if not a little damp. car went up to Kendal OK saturday afternoon wher it was dry so allowing me to polished the car in the hotel car park.

Fortunatly it stayed fine over nigh because I forgot the cover. Managed to finsih most the bits I wanted before judging. Five hours polishing, need to do the seat runners a bit better, retape the wiring loom in the boot so you can not see where it was resprayed, take the metal inserts out on the rear ashtrays and remove the surface rust, tidy a few minor signs of wear an tear on the interior trim and polish the jack.

Engine is nearly up to scratch considering I drive the car to shows but I do really need to find the time to remove the wheels to do the underside properly.

Car looks filthy now, rained all the way from Kendal to the start of the M6 Toll then I blow dried the car by showing a Focus Zetec who was quickest. At 110mph he could keep up, at 115mph I was pulling away and I was not flat out :D

Car now nice and dry back in the garage to be polished ready for my next show next week.
Oh and I won again :D

Gareth,

I imagine that many people would be very proud of the cleanliness of a car that you'd describe as "filthy" :)

Well done on winning again :D

Gareth

Well done indeed.

If you want to set the bar for 'filthy' cars, I suggest you consieer my wife's Corsa Life. It was raining yesterday when we had to drive to Glasgow to deliver some stuff. when we got back the car was no longer silver!

At the moment my car is a flys graveyard and my daughter is still upset she did not go with me to collect the trophy especially as she asked if she could help clean the car and I let her for the first time.

Still having to explain it was tipping it down and she had run off to play with her friend and we did not know where she was.

I think the next show she can go with me is Muirkirk (I think that is the place in Scotland) which is the last show of the year but is close to the school term starting so we shall see.
Gareth
