I had forgotten that the Capri did not have door or wing mirrors.

There were some good cars to be had in the 70's
Capri RS3100, rear wheel drive, 3.1 litre V6; 150 bhp, top speed 127 mph, 0 - 60 mph 7 seconds.
Esccort Cosworth (my last car), 4 wheel drive 2.0 litre 4 cylinder turbo; 220 bhp, top speed 144 mph, 0 - 60 6 seconds.
There are 20 years between these cars and they newer holds the road better, but in normal driving not much between them. Only on the race track do you see a differnce and then it only really shows in the wet a the latter has 4 wheel drive compared to a tail happy two wheel drive.
