I have scared a few of my passenegrs by telling the how useful the ptholes are on country roads. Depending where I feel them, I know what side of teh road I am on

As far as motorways, the rumble from the left means I am on the inside lane near the hard shoulder. A rumble from the right followed soon after by scrapng metal means I am too far over in the outermost lane

Any thud from the front means the car infront is helping me to slow down.

A thud from the rear means a car behind is helping me slow down while reversing. Usually signifying the edge of the parking space, usually accompanied by screeching metal from left or righht, but at least I will know which side of the car to get out of

No, I don't.
I don't believe it would be safe enough to be a good idea.
Why?
Nothing sepcifically to do with resolution, nor even field of view.
I got into the habit many years ago of wearing my lenses one at a time, and can't really judge distances well with only on eeye working. At the time, I was a student, and then a young person starting out in life and couldn't have afforded th eriving lessons, let alone a car, so I wasn't wanting to drive anyway.
By the time I got to the stage where I would have been able to afford to do so, I realised I'd got to the stage of beig so used to wearing one lens t a time, if I put them both in the world looked very odd! - and decided driving with one wasn't safe, and putting two in togethr to drive wasn't on.
I suppose I could have got used to wearing them together again if I'd put my mind to it. But now I have lenses made of different materials for each eye, and they don't like having one typeo f lens in one eye and another type in the other. SO I don't thing trying to wear them together would work.
I have enough difficulty with things like walking through busy shops, or stations, or along busy streets, and being unable to judge the distances from pedestrians coming the other way, and stopping and dodging is easier on foot. A metal box going at 30, 40 or even 70 mph I'll leave to those who can judge their distances properly.
