I'm glad everything went well for you. Your eye looks so healthy, mine is still bloodshot after 11 days! Hope everything keeps going well for you! :)

Thanks Anne, I've been really pleased with it, I ought it would be a lot more bloodshot! Holmes, how are you doing now, it would be great to hear how you are getting on a little bit further down the line from me...I'm still doing well but a little sore today. Emma x

Hi Emma

I'm doing ok thanks. I'm just taking one day at a time, I have some good days and some not so good. Generally the eye is quite comfortable for most of the day. I am wearing sunglasses for every trip outside because I am very intolerant to the light, and it makes me feel a bit safer for a bit of protection. I have found that it gets a bit sore and uncomfortable towards the end of the day or if I try to do too much (sitting and doing nothing all day doesn't come naturally!), also if it is warm it can feel a bit sore. I have found the dexamethasone drops sting a bit but I am getting used to it!

I have been amazed how much my vision has improved close up, I had virtually nothing before surgery! At a distance I still have a few multiple images although not as many as before! Overall I am very happy with my decision to go ahead with it and I'm hopeful that I will get much better vision when things settle down.

Keep getting plenty of rest and don't rush to do anything much. The soreness does get better after about a week, I am reasonably comfortable for most of the day now!

Take care
Suzanne
