Thanks Ralph, I scuba dive too, is it Sharm El Sheikh you are going to? We were there a while ago and it was amazing, the reefs are out of this world. The beauty of diving is that you can put your tank, stab jacket and dry suit under the stairs for 6 months ....I've tried shoving the horses in there but they just don't fit :D

Great to hear you are doing so well, night driving is one of the main reasons I am tempted by the graft as I basically no longer drive at night unless I really have to.

I've a tough decision to make, the NHS say that I need a graft but wont do it unless I move house/change job/give up the horses. I have private cover and my private surgeon says I need one too and is happy to do it but worried about infection etc

So, the answers simple... Bigger Stairs :D

Seriously, I guess it depends on how important night driving is to you and if you are getting any further deterioration.

I would have though protecting against infection would be reasonablly simple to address with protective glasses etc if you are working in, shall we say 'less clean environments' but I don't claim to have any medical expertise so would bow to more knowledgebale people.

I'm not going to Sharm, although I have been there lots of times in the past.

It's got a bit too busy for my taste so I am heading furtther afield to a place called Hamata, which is about as far south on the Egyption Red Sea as you can get. Nice and peaceful and some beautiful unspoilt reefs

All the best

Ralph
