It's in the newsletter that went out with the DVD. A summary of an excellent talk we had at our last London meeting on how to control all those problems that get in the way of contact lens comfort. But you're right, it may also have been mentioned on the DVD where we had a similar talk.

Hi Helen,

I haven't heard about white spots before. But I get black floaters in one of my eyes, this happened after I had to get a cataract operation a few years after I had had a graft. Anyway, best of luck hope it turns out okay. It can be a long haul but it's worth it.

Cheers

Alan

Ahhh thanks I hadn't realised it was the same thing, the hospital didn't give it a name!
Suspect I have a loose stitch in the grafted eye which worries me a bit, but back in 3 days so will get it checked then, it certainly is a long haul, made worse by boredom due to the restraints of poor vision and taking care of my new cornea.

Back to theatre today for restitch, think it was just 1 stitch had come loose (not totally sure as seemed to do more than 1 stitch) I didnt find the drops numbed my eye at all well, was quite painful :(

So back on antibiotics for 4 weeks, and appointment in 4-6 weeks for refraction and the usual checkups. Trying catacrom for the left eye problem - but they think it may be a 'mechanical' reaction (ie my eye taking a dislike to having a contact lens), will be trying wearing lenses again next week when stitch has settled.

3 steps forwards and 2 back, its been over 2 years since I was able to see to drive, read or do many things independently, I am now thinking seriously about how and where I can get some help to cope with low vision as it seems it isnt so temporary, its something I dread doing, feels like admitting defeat.

My sutures had all been removed for some months before my vision stabilised. The hospital made sure that I was well equipped with low vision aids.
There is no defeat in accepting help while you need it!
All the best
