This procedure, if I read the article right, is for the victims of serious chemical damage to the eye. The "lens" is held by the re;ocated tooth, and is held in such a position as to give some sight to the otherwide blinded eye.
The article does not say hwere the cylinder lens comes from, just that it is held by the relocated tooth.
It also seems that the traditional cadaver donation will hve been tried before this experimental technique is attempted. does anyone know whether the lens is of natural or artificial material?
