Prue

It is an upside down world when it is summer in the winter and autumn in the spring!

Tep and it has been a hot, dry and firey summer here. We never get snow here it is too mild where I live, some frost but no snow. Mind you, I wuold say 40 degree plus days would be rare for you. New years eve was 47 degrees and a fire startted at 5pm which is late in the day it nearly burnt my sisters in laws place but they were on the edge then turned and threatened a city the next morning but the cool change and rain came (as you know there is a God), that was a bad fire. But if they believe if it started at noon, which is a reasonable time for fire to start it would have hit the great southern firebreak 200 plus kms away.

Pru

It was snowing here on Sunday, and 40 degrees sounds wonderful.

Its a pity they put Australia so far away. On the other hand we'd not have all the crinkly bits down the west coast of Scotland if we did not have the sort of climate we do. Others have much worse weather, we are pretty fortunate really!

Yours aye

We went to Loch Lomond for lunch today. My wife is a member of a club on the loch shore. I took these pictures of "the bonnie bonnie banks" with my telephone (quality is therefore poor)

You can see BVen Lomond (the second highest mountian in the United Kingdom) on the right of the picture, clothed in snow.

That's something i really miss being in London, the snow!! I only lived about an hour from the Brecon Beacons back home so we used to regularly go sledging as the snow there never melts!! Hehe London just doesn't compare!!! I love Loch Lomond as well have been sailing on there a few times as a child but the gnats used to bite me terribly!! LOL!!

We cansee Ben Lomond from our window. In fact if I lift my eyes from the computer I can see it right now! It has sless now today than yesterday, but it is beautiful. If I look to the West I can see the Cowall Peninsula and the tops of the mountains around Arrachar.

The weird thing is that I live in an industrial town. They certainly knew where to put the industry in the Scotland of the 19th Century. :D

I snapped this pic of the Cowal montains beyond the Clyde from ust outside the house. the foreshore on this side of the river used to be populated by shipyards, but is now being prepared for a new road and lots of expensive houses.

Again my phone does not render clear pictures, and I apologize.
