What committee positions are there for election?

What nominations have been received to date?

What is the deadline for nominations?

Who can vote?

surely this should be made very clear as teh group is a registered charity and bound by rules regarding elections which are ultimately governed by the charities commission?

The AGM is indeed carried out according to our constitution which is approved by the Charity Commission.

Basically, there are no positions available for election. Those present at the AGM who are entitled to a vote (members who are on our mailing list) get a chance to elect a committee. Each year following the AGM, the committee self-organise and elect a Chairman, Secretary and Treasurer from their number, as per our constitution.

We generally accept nominations for committee membership until just before the AGM starts, so there is effectively no deadline. Personally, I am not aware of anyone yet standing for election that is not already serving on the committee, but we usually have more positions than nominees.

Where can we read the constitution and the AGM agenda and minutes on this website John?
