Recent INTACS Surgery

Postby kc44 » Tue 02 Feb 2016 4:41 pm

Hi,

I recently had intacs placed in both my eyes. Every now and then when I look down, use my eyeballs to look down I get a strong sensation of intac rubbing against my eyelid. Is that normal? It's very irritating. It's only been a week and a half since my surgery so wanted to know if it will indeed settle down.

thanks

Hi kc44,

I'm sorry but I'm not sure what is normal for INTACS as I've only ever worn contact lenses. A few people on the forum have had INTACS and hopefully one of them will see your post

It is probably worth checking with the hospital what is normal, especially as you've noticed some red eye.

Hiya how did this pan out for you in the end. I'm having similar issues. Been nearly 6 weeks.

Hi, I have had Intacs in both eyes. My right eye was done about 3-4 months and my left done 7 months ago. I do not have this problem when looking down but now and again I can feel them such as a foreign body situation. This normally disappears once I have slept though.
