Just got first pair of glasses.
I've just got my first pair of glasses, while I wait for my appointment at the eye centre for the 29th of Sept. How long will it take for my eyes to get used to this new way of looking? I'm still getting some ghosting, just wondering if that's normal or just something to expect due to the KC. Everything's clearer of course, but there's just the ghosting issues and everything is quite magnified at the moment. Will things get even clearer as I wear them more?

Hi Smudger,
Ghosting is due to the KC and is why contact lenses are prescribed for the condition. It is caused by what is called "Higher Order Aberrations" which are distortions caused by the shape of the KC cornea.
You may learn to ignore some of the ghosting after a while but you will probably always have some residual awareness. Your brain should get used to the magnification effect quite quickly.
