KC Wedding

Postby GarethB » Sun 03 May 2009 1:45 pm

Dear All,

Please join me in wishing John and Claire all the best for their future as Mr and Mrs John Smith.

The wedding was at Craig-y-Nos Castle, Brecon, Wales and for the Dr Who buffs this was where some scenes for the Wherewolf epsiode with Queen Victoria was filmed. Jannet (resident homeopathy specialist), Michael P of London Social fame) and I had the please of attending the wedding on Saturday 2nd May.

The weather was execllent throughout as was the company both KC and non-KC related. John looked very smart and Claire looked stunning and the dress survived the chocolate fountain. Well it had at the time I left sho who knows what happened by the time the evening wa over!

I'll not put any more as I am sure John and Claire will put something on here or in the news letter once they have returned from honeymoon except;

Congratulations to you both, it is an honour to be your friend and I wish you a long, fruitful and succesful married life together.

Hey there!!

Gareth,

Thanks for the posting and the pics, I am so glad that you all had a lovely day! The weather was fantastic when I worried so much for weeks about it raining!!! This was because we were getting married in Wales on a bank holiday weekend and just as we crossed the bridge the day before it started raining!!! :roll: But it was just perfect and sunny all day so my dress didn't have to trawl through any mud!! Gareth it also survived the chocolate fountain so I was very very grateful!!!

It was a gorgeous day and I didn't stop smiling!! Everything just went really well and all my family were there in the evening reception, most of whom I haven't seen for years so it was very special :)

Our honeymoon was just as wonderful!! Two weeks in Canada spending two days on the rocky mountaineer which had the most lovely views and ending at Niagara Falls which was just breathtaking! Everything was just perfect, especially the two nights John booked at a log cabin where it did actually snow!! Hehe, that was all I wanted some time in a log cabin with a log fire and snow!! Just shows that what you wish for can come true!!! :lol:

I have just enjoyed the last three weeks so much and we are settling into married life really well :D Hehe, John is being very well behaved as I think he knows that he might not have any money left now that we are married!! LOL!! :P :roll: :twisted:

Thanks everyone for all the kind words and gifts! John is going to add some pics here as he knows how to do it!! LOL!! Hopefully we can get the KC pic up here soon as well!! It was a gorgeous KC wedding and John did add it in his speech. 8) Without this site we wouldn't be together as this is where we first heard of each other! It is lovely though as we do understand when one of us is having a bad eye day and with the most perfect wedding I couldn't ask for anything else!!

Loads of love Claire X x X (A.K.A. Mrs C Smith!!!)

OK, what can I add to Claire's words... but pictures!

Here's a pic of of the KC table attendees - from left to right: Michael & Tricia Parnes, Me, Claire, Gareth, Gemma and Sue Beynon, and Janet & Richard Manning.

If you want to see some highlights in even more pictures, you'll find them here.

Certainly we had a great time on the day, and I hope everyone else who came along did too.
