update on me

Postby cherishu2 » Sat 20 Oct 2007 2:28 pm

well i went into LRI friday am.
they decided left eye had gotten a lot worse so said they wud do that eye.
eye sore and stayed in about 4 hrs post op. apparently i was a pain cos i demanded a toilet instead of bedpan lol.
as i was reged blind before the op they said i may see an improvement straight away. but my life was i in for a shock.
i was reading number plates on the way home and watching leaves fall from trees. But the most beautiful thing was when i got home and all 6 of my kids were waiting and i cud see them properly. very emotional time.
i am amazed and so grateful to the donor just wish i cud thank em.
eye very sore today but worth it all.
mum to 7. Its a long story lol. cornea graft oct 19 2007.
Son with KC too

Wonderful news! I'm so pleased for you - it's been such a long haul. Take it easy for a bit, and happy healing!

Somebody complimented me on my driving yesterday - they left a note on my windscreen "Parking Fine" which was nice.

What great news.

Sorry if this sounds corny but it is what I would describe as heart warming :D .
Please have a listen to my daughter, if you have a spare moment, on www.myspace.com/emmaparnes. She also wrote the songs.
