post graft guide

Postby nicola jayne » Mon 04 Jun 2007 2:04 pm

hi all again,
does anybody apart from me think that it would be a good idea to have a guide for employers for people with KC about staff who have had a graft . the other guide is brill but only covers contacts and the condition not much about grafts, stiches, healing etc.......

just an idea

Hi Nicola

That is a brilliant idea.

When i get the Mcr Group up and running, one of the biggest areas i would like to be able to addressis increased public awareness of KC and all that living with it on a daily basis entails, and one of my thoughts on this is to actually hold one group meeting a year that is aimed at inviting employers along to increase their awareness in the work place of KC and its many foibles. Hopefully this could be considered by each of the regional groups.
I think a pre and post graft guide would be an excellent tool .
I think it would also be a great idea to attempt to run articles about KC in the local newspapers too, hopefully in time thats not too ambitious.

Mike

yep public awareness needs to be raised, because we deal with our KC quite well most of the time i do think that people who only know a little bit of what we all go through, think that KC cant be too bad or we would act worse or make more of a fuss if that makes sense...
