Hi Gavin,

I would say most of us have felt the same.

Afetr my grafts it was nearly 20 years before having lenses again so the hospital gave me a refresher at putting them in.

Their policy is not to let people take lenses home until the have shown they can put the lens in and take it out again properly in each eye.

I was there for a good couple of hours before they would let me leave with my lenses.

It does take practice and now over 2 years on most of the time they go in properly first time.

Practice makes perfect, you will get there.
Gareth

gavin.john

Welcome back.

Really nobody here is in a position to give advice on what to go for if contact lenses really have proven unsuitable for the management of your condition. The truth is that whatever comes next depends on variables of which we have no knowledge: how advanced is your keratoconus, how much have your corneal thinned, etc.

All the best with your appointment in August. We'll be thinking of you.

Andrew
