Scottish group meeting reports
We had a really good meeting in April, when Dr Ramaesh from Gartnavel Hospital,Glasgow spoke to us/ answered all our questions on keratoconus.
The highlight was when he told us about the "Intacs procedure" which has been licensed for use in the UK.It is available in 2 UK hospitals just now, and hopefully in Scotland in the next few months. It could be an alternative to grafts for a lot of people.
The next Scottish KC meeting should be in June.

March meeting
TheMarch meeting was excellent. Celia Traynor who is the support worker for eye patients at Gartnavel Hospital (Glasgow) spoke to us about the social implications of having an eye condition. This included info about equipment to help us, info on Access to work and other benefits available. We also found out about the organisation called Visibility.

I'm the one that moderates this section of the website.I've tidied up the forum a bit to make things easier to find. Elizabeth

Yes, I know that you are the moderator (still chuckle at this use of that word!), but from time to time there appear notices from somebody called The Administrator.
At one time John Smith told me that this designation had appeared on my profile, but then it disappeared again.
John Smith seems to be as confused as I am!

Andrew,
Those posts are indeed from me, or rather, my alter ego! "administrator" is the account that has full access to the entire board, and individual users (such as myself and Elizabeth) are set as moderators of individual fora.
I think the confusion came in because the system was telling me that you were an administrator too, and I commented that "it wasn't me" who amended you!

Oh dear, it seems that the University have removed the map that we were linking to from their server.
Check out the Scottish event pagefor a draggable, zoomable map.
