Basically, you shouldn't specify exact solutions as then this would not, at a later time, cover a newly released solution, for example.

You need to be more generic, like all contact lens solutions, rewetting solutions, dry eye preparations.

Be aware that if your MP does push for this then there has also to be an equally strong push for better diagosis as exemption will rely on this. There a lot of people out there who do not know they are KC but just have been fitted with contact lenses without being referred because their condition is static.

Also, recognition on the spectacle voucher system would be nice, as KC patients have many more changes in prescription than normal patients and although we can put codes on the forms to indicate people have an ongoing medical condition that needs monitoring, it gets hard if you are claiming for new spectacles every few weeks. This has more to do with local PCT's than prescription medicines.

Lynn good points. Did Marion say that she is going to need to take an optometrist or clinician with her to explain, maybe they can put these points across better?

Something like that, I think it was an Opthalmologist and a clinician, though I may be wrong.

This is fantastic news!

Miraflow
Saline - either Amidose or Steripod ( I currently get Steripod on prescription, but can only get Amidose from Moorfields. My GP tried to prescribe it for me, but the pharmacies around here could not get it.)

Have pen poised to write when the time is ripe!

Lynn would get my vote as she has helped so many on the forum and is pretty much well known.
