My left eye, which has no had THREE (sic) hydrops has some scarring in the form of faint white cloudy bits in vertical streaks at the front of my eye.
on a good eye day, and in a good light, I can see these myself if I peer closely inthe mirror.
More often, it can be very difficult to tell them apart from reflections (from windows, overhead lights, etc).
NO-one else bar the hospital specialists has ever said anything about them. Whether this is politeness, lack of observation or just not getting close enough to see them properly, I don't know.
I suspect yours may be the same? - if you know they are there and look closely, you can see them, but someone else who didn't know to look and was at normal distances away wouldn't notice?
In other words, they'd only be liley to be spotted by someone we were getting very close to...... as it were.......
... and last time I was in that position, by the time we got that far she'd already taken her contacts out.

On the other hand, I used to wear sclerals with air holes in them, and the number of people who used to spot one of the air holes and ask if I'd got something in my eye was amazing.

hi rosemary,

yeh it sounds similar - although on my left pupil i think the scar is about 1 / 4 the size of it so that is maybe more visible. as you say tho, ppl think its just a reflection if they do notice.

my eyes feel v light sensitive so gonna leave the computer now. i can hardly look at the screen.

bye,

tim
