Dont feel that you are not aware and clued up...none of us were when we first got it....in time, and sadly, if you go though the whole KC lifecycle (which i HOPE you dont) youll also pick up various anomilies of KC and relate then to experience and treatment etc

I wore contact lenses for 20 years before I went for a graft. In retrospect, I probably ought to have had the graft two or three years earlier. Nonetheless, the principal of trying one method of management until it becomes impossible and then moving on to the next, still seems sensible to me.

Wearing contact lenses, or at least trying them, does not exclude your exploring at a later date those other avenues.
