Scottish KC group members have a special invitation to the next Scottish Contact Lens Society meeting in Glasgow at the beginning of December(evening meeting).
The speaker, Dr Sathish Srinivasan will be speaking about Keratoconus: past, present and future. He is an opthalmologist who specialises in corneal issues and has been carrying out some of the newer procedures for KC.
Please send me a PM for further details if you are interested.
(People on the Scottish KC e-mail list who live near Glasgow have already been sent an e-mail with further details.)

Just a quick message to thank those members of the group who attended our meeting earlier this evening. I do hope you learned something and I certainly believe that your presence has raised the awareness of the goup among eyecare professionals and that can only be a good thing.
I do hope to meet you all again soon and will certainly aim to be present at the conference next year.
Best wishes for the Festive Season
Kind Regards
Graeme

Glad to hear that the meeting went well, Graeme, and many thanks for inviting our Scottish members. Raising the profile of our support group is something we're very keen to do. We already have good contacts with a number of hospitals and optometrists - but I know there are many more who don't know of our existence and so aren't telling their patients with KC about the information and support we provide. There's a lot we can learn from each other, so I hope there'll be many similar meetings in the future, and not only in Scotland.
