Next meeting for the West Midlands

The next meeting will be on Saturday January 21st 2012 at 11 am, at Birmingham and Midland Eye Centre, Outpatients Department. Cormac McCarthy RNIB Operations Manager for the West Midlands will talk on Visual impairment and work related issues. Please ring Marian for details on 01746 757906

My Corneal graft operation is on 12/11/12. I would like to know when the next meeting is as i live in Wardend (B8)

Hi Shameem and welcome,
We don't have a date for the next West Mids meeting yet, but there''s likely to be one in September or October, so before your op. Meantime, if you'd like our information booklet about KC (including info about corneal transplants) and our 2009 conference DVD which also gives a lot of information about corneal transplants, just e-mail your postal address to ann@keratoconus-group.org.uk and I'll send them to you.

This bit of the forum is where meeting dates for the West Mids members are announced. So watch this space. In the meantime, if you'd like our booklet and DVD about the options for KC, do send me your postal address (see previous post above).

The next West Mids meeting is on Saturday 16th November at 11am in the Outpatients Department of the Birmingham and Midland Eye Centre, Dudley Road, Birmingham.
Nick Dash, corneal specialist, will talk about keratoconus treatments and visual rehabilitation. All welcome.

Saturday 15th November 2014 at 11am in the Outpatients Department of the Birmingham and Midland Eye Centre. Come along and hear Victor Hu, specialist registrar at Wolverhampton Eye Infirmary talk about Corneal graft surgery, past present and future.It's also a great opportunity to meet other West Mids KC Group members.
