For some reason I get a message that I am not allowed to post to this group when I try to create a new topic in the Welsh Local Group. Any reason for this? I am in Wales - honest! I haven't been on this site for ages, could that be a factor?

It is only moderators of the group that can start a new thread in local groups. There was a similar question raised for the East Midlands group. I believe the idea is to try and keep the focus on the general forum.

Indeed. All members can reply to posts on local groups but can only start topics on the general discussion forum.
If the topic is specifically Welsh in nature, then please post it to the general forum, and pm a moderator who can move it to the Welsh area for you.
