Compression suture

Postby eye16 » Sun 10 Jul 2016 10:33 pm

Hi all,

Background:
At 16 diagnosed with keratoconus
At 27 - had full thickness transplant.
At 29 (in Jan 2016) had relaxing incisors.

Now in sept I will be having sutures back in my eye just the one or two.

I am quite apprehensive about this as last time I had stitches in my eye I was under GA.

I am from London and will be getting it done at moorfields.

I was wondering if anyone else has had this operation done before and was it painful? Will they sedate me or just topical aneasthetic? What is recovery time etc?

Let's just say I'm not looking forward to this!

Thanks for your help in advance.

Reena
