Continuing this train of thought - are there any 'celebrities' that have keratoconus?

Um ... not sure about the use of the word 'celebrity', but I know of at least one politician in the UK with keratoconus and I remember there being some splash a year or two ago when an American actor announced that he had the condition.

Mike, that is a good total of gift aid that we have benefitted from.

Slightly off topic but what we need is for one of those telly medical programmes to show someone with keratoconus ( as they have done almost everything else our turn must be soon) being advised about the group. This will be the best of both worlds for us.

Greig.

Kitty Kat - I havent seen the show myself but I have heard from people I work with about the gentleman that was featured.

We need something like that to get the exposure of the group out to the wider population. Im sure that there must be some people out there who are just diagnosed with KCand dont know where to turn to for help & support.

Very true about medical programmes covering everything and anything (oftem more than once) yet not KC.. Perhaps some letters to script writters maybe in order?

re famous KC'ers, is it worth perhaps approaching any of them to see if they'd in somway be a patron/public face if you like of the group?

Hi Lea

I'm more than willing for the KC Committee to write to famous KC-ers and scriptwriters. If you know of any famous KC-ers, grateful if you could PM the names.

Many thanks
