'Things we've always wanted to say or wish we could say'

Postby Andrew MacLean » Tue 09 Jun 2009 3:24 pm

Lou started this off with, "More tea vicar?!", then Rosemary pitched in with, "Right lads, everybody out!"

My favourite was when I was Moderator of Presbytery someone rose to his feet and said "Point of Order", usually enough to stop everything so that the point of order could be hears. I was in mid-sentence and retorted, "I am speaking, so there is order!"

Come on, everybody must have something that they have always wanted to say, and are still waiting for an occasion. Go on, you know you want to ... resistance is futile!

Well obviously I already have said 'Resistance is futile'! [in costume]

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to say 'More tea vicar?' Andrew and perhaps we could have a KC Group boat trip sometime so I could get to say 'Man overboard' [thanks for offering Gareth :D ].

I can just picture Rosemary doing the Union number..

I've always wanted to say to doorstep religious folk asking me whether I want to let God into my life - 'No I'm sorry I worship the fallen angel, actually your arrival is good timing we need a human sacrifice, do come in..'

My last graft - the very pleasant Dr clerking me in stopped, looked thoughtful, put his hand on my knee and said 'Now tell me, how does your Schizophrenia affect you?'. I wanted to say, 'Would you like a practical demonstration?'

:D I often call out 'Don't Panic' (after Corporal Jones in Dad's Army and of course The Hitchhikers' Guide to the Galaxy).

Lol I've done 'stupid boy!' and 'Danger Will Robinson danger!' [with flapping arms a la Robbie the Robot], 'Make it so' and 'Engage' [Cap Picard], and 'I'm an activist not a ...' [Dr McCoy doing his 'I'm a doctor not a ...']

A conversation amongst the current committee of the charity Keshet (which I am on)

MT : I have been training to be a toastmaster
SK: What does that involve?
LH : Probably MT mincing about in a tail coat
MT : My tail coat is hunting pink
SK : But who would you go hunt?
J : In MT's case that would be Mr Fox

Still makes me giggle now nearly a year on.
