***Beware of Ebay hackers***

Postby BusyLizzy » Fri 16 Jan 2009 1:48 pm

Hello there,

Today someone hacked my Ebay account. I have had notification that a hacker has accessed a number of accounts and now has their passwords and postal addresses, and is attempting to use the accounts. He used my name as a seller of a Samsung Plasma TV screen, for which I received a spoof email this morning requesting postage details.

Change your Ebay password immediately before he does the same to you!

If you receive an odd email through Ebay from someone attempting to buy something you're not selling or sell something to you and you then find you can't access your account, it means that it has been hacked and you have to contact Ebay immediately and also change your password.

Best wishes,

BL
Keep looking for rainbows.

This has happened to one of my sons more than once and his passwords are pretty obscure!

Lesley.
Live long and Prosper.
