Winter social - "Not the May Ball"

ANyone think they might be up for a London social meet?
- not, I think, before Christmas because of diary congestion (!)
Maybe late Jan to brighten up midwinter gloom? - or Feb once the net paycheck is in.
I was vaguely thinking of meeting in/around Euston for a weather-beating hot choccie, then maybe the Chinese buffet some of use went to after the last conference. But other suggestions welcome!
ANyone think they might be up for this? If so, I'll do some research when I go out Christmas shopping.
Rosemary
thinking it wouldn't be a bad idea at the moment if she went to the Chinese restaurant....
..... for some spare ribs...
(hides under table very hurriedly)

What a good idea! Sadly I live to far away :| but a KC hot chocolate and a chinese buffet would certainly be a good way of welcoming the lighter nights and longer days of February.

All the best.

Hi Rosemary
I would be up for this - have missed the regular get together's we used to have! Euston area is good for me - much better than having to go into that foreign land south of the river!! (There pseaks a true North Londoner!)

And Chinese - yes please (and blow the new years' diet!)

Right-oh, Pat! I think we're on.
Maybe others will join us, once they've got over the Christmas rush and started thinking of what's next.

Did someone say Chinese? Spare Ribs?

If a date can be decided upon or even if it can't count me in haha. I'll be ready with belt loosened and fork in hand or chopsticks though I'll need some practice

Hiya
Merry Christmas to all. (Only a day or two late!)

A weekday (incl. Friday) is best for me as I work in central London - not keen on coming in again at the weekend really - especially as buses frequently replace trains on my line at the weekends - not fun. But will go with the majority flow..........

Don't mind Jan or Feb - but am working in Warwick for 3 Wednesdays in Feb (11, 18, & 25) and may be staying overnights on the Tues & Weds. So if Feb, Mon/Thurs or Fri would suit me best.

Well that narrows it down a bit! How about others?

OK folks - it's 2009 now.
ANyone else interested in getting this show on the road (as it were).
I'm thinking of a Wednesday evening, probably either first Weds in Feb (4th) by which time Jan pay cheques should be in) or last in Jan (28th) if people prefer.
Meet at euston station between 6-6.30 or so, for coffee/hot choc/something, then aim to go round to Chinese for their buffet about 7ish.
Hw does that grab people? OK? Alternative suggestions?
I'll do a quick recce on Saturday, then post announcement if we have a "go-er".
